With a rise in the amount of Perfusion and Patient data that we are collecting during and after bypass thanks to integrated data management systems such as LivaNovas CONNECT and the Viper system we are in a great position to be able to collect data at a National Level. At Royal Papworth Hospital we have joined forces with ANZCP, who have been running such a system for a number of years now, to share Perfusion data on an international level in the hope of speeding up the creation of a dedicated Open source UK Perfusion database.

The Society of Perfusionists, as it was previously known, was formed in 1974 and its main objectives are to promote the advancement of perfusion technology and to represent the interests of Clinical Perfusionists.
