Career: Spent 4 years in equine practice before moving to a residency in equine medicine at the University of Cambridge. He completed a PhD in virology in 1994 and was a lecturer, then senior lecturer in equine medicine at Cambridge. He moved to the Royal Veterinary College in 2005 where he is professor of equine clinical studies. Interests: He has research interests in equine infectious diseases. He is a past president of BEVA and ECEIM and is current president of FEEVA.
