Keynote: Zoonotic disease epidemiology in multi-host systems

Session: Veterinary
Room: Room 3 Dalhousie

Profile of Dr Sandra Telfer

Sandra Telfer’s research focuses on host-pathogen dynamics in wildlife populations and zoonotic disease risk, and involves empirical systems in the UK and overseas. Studies examine a range of parasites and pathogens, with a special interest in co-infection and how interactions between parasites influence infection risk. She is currently funded to investigate rodent-borne zoonoses in Madagascar, examining factors influencing disease dynamics in rodents and exposure risks to humans.
