Dr Khalid Beshir

Dr Beshir's work primarily focuses on the identification and epidemiology of molecular markers of drug resistance of Malaria. To achieve this, Dr Beshir continuously works on the development of novel molecular tools for the detection and monitoring of drug resistance markers as well as understanding the role of complexity of infection in treatment outcome.

Dr Beshir also has interest in diagnostics and has recently been investigating the effect of HRPII deletion in the performance of RDT for the detection of Malaria parasites.
