Career: History and role in KBIS MD: After working for 10 years in the bloodstock industry, Guy and Liz Prest purchased KBIS, a small specialist bloodstock insurance provider, in 1991. KBIS has since grown into one of the leading equestrian insurance providers and has led the way in providing customers with a wide choice of vets fee insurance from budget to supreme cover. Interests: Cultivating a better understanding between the insurance industry and the veterinary profession to enable our mutual customers to get appropriate diagnostics and treatment at an affordable cost. Increasing the awareness by the veterinary profession that the insured limits on vets cover are restricted by how much the horse owners will pay for their horse insurance. To increase these limits, we jointly need to educate our customers so they can appreciate the benefits of improved cover and understand why this will not be a cheap purchase.
