Profile of Brigadier Paul Jepson

Qualified: Liverpool (1972). Institution/Practice: Toad Hall, Bashley Cross Road, Bashley New Milton, Hants. BH25 5SZ, UK.

Career: After qualification Paul went into large animal and equine practice. Started an equine practice on the North Wales coast before joining the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in 1977. Served with the Army all over the world including Northern Ireland, Cyprus and Hong Kong. Appointed Director Veterinary and Remount Services in the Ministry of Defence in 1994. Served as Chief Executive of the Horse Trust 1997-2010, running the Home of Rest for Horses and the Trust's multi-million pound scientific research and post graduate scholarship programme. Currently working as a consultant. Interests: Exotic disease and equine welfare issues.
