Profile of Mrs Adelle Bowden

After graduating from The University of Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science in 2013, I began my PhD in October the same year. My PhD involves researching evidence based medicine and knowledge transfer in equine veterinary medicine. In addition, I spend some of my time as an equine practitioner at a local private practice. Following some preliminary results, Colic was identified as a primary focus of my research. The most recent study aims to assess the baseline knowledge of typical horse owners and identify the aspects of colic that horse owners find challenging. From this, the aim is to develop guidance and educational tools to assist in these areas.
