Mrs Bonny Millar

Qualifications: CVT(USA) RVN REVN.
Qualified: University of Pennsylvania. Institution/Practice: Rossdales Equine Hospital.
Career: Bonny gained an honours degree in Veterinary Technology at Harcum College, in Pennsylvania. She completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania before beginning a career as an equine medicine charge nurse at the University’s New Bolton Center. Bonny married a Welshman and moved to Britain in 1991, settling in Newmarket. She was Head Nurse at Rossdale and Partners Veterinary Surgeons in Newmarket, England, for 12 years, specialising in equine critical care nursing. Bonny was instrumental in the implementation process of the first training scheme for equine veterinary nurses in the UK. She is published and a regular speaker, teaching and assessing equine veterinary nursing students. At present Bonny is the Executive Chairman of the BVNA Advisory Board and is an equine nursing editor for the association’s journal - VNJ. She was president in 2008–9. She also served as a Vet Tech in the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics.
Interests: Equine critical care; wound management and neonatology.
