Profile of Ms Naomi Smith

Qualifications: ACPAT.
Qualified: Nottingham University. Institution/Practice: 5 Heol Gam, Pentyrch, Cardiff, CF15 9QA.
Career: Naomi graduated from Nottingham University 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy and then spent several years building up experience and expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in both the NHS and private practice in the UK and overseas. Having owned and/or ridden horses all her life she then developed a special interest in horses and finished her ACPAT training (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Practice) in 2003. She has worked with horses in Kent and the USA, and has settled in South Wales with her family. She has a thriving practice working with horses and riders ranging from Team GB driving ponies and endurance horses, elite showjumpers and dressage horses to happy hackers and work ranges from post injury or surgical convalescence to pre-competition checks and performance problems. She likes to work closely with her local and referring vets and employs a holistic approach.
