Profile of Mr Bryan O'Meara

Qualifications: MVB MVM(R) CertES(Orth) DiplECVS MRCVS European and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Equine Surgery
Qualified: University College Dublin. Institution/Practice: Bryan O’Meara Veterinary Consultancy.
Career: Bryan is a University College Dublin (2003) graduate and worked in mixed practice in Northern Ireland with Bob Smith before working as an equine vet in Southern England with P.J. McMahon, then he slowly began to gain surgical experience on the Curragh, Ireland with Grey Abbey Vets whilst working as an ambulatory and stud medicine vet. Bryan subsequently joined O’Gorman Slater and Main as an ambulatory vet in late 2007 before completing a split surgical residency between Newbury and Glasgow University. Since 2014 Bryan works as a freelance equine surgeon for a number of practices and private clients in the UK.
Interests: Upper airway surgery; arthroscopy; minimally invasive surgery; standing surgery and general equine surgery.
