Profile of Miss Elizabeth Leece
Qualifications: BVSc CVA DipECVAA MRCVS.
Qualified: University of Liverpool. Institution/Practice: Newmarket Equine Hospital.
Career: After completing an HBLB Residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the University of Liverpool Elizabeth moved to the Animal Health Trust, becoming Head of Anaesthesia in 2006, then onto Cambridge University, whilst running an anaesthesia consultancy business. Three years ago she joined the anaesthesia team at Dick White Referrals and the Newmarket Equine Hospital. She is a European and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia, and an Honorary Associate Professor in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the University of Nottingham. She is currently the president of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists as it celebrates 50 years of being the global association dedicated to improving anaesthesia and analgesia for all veterinary patients. Interests: Improving the standards of veterinary anaesthesia globally as well as investigating and improving recovery quality from anaesthesia in all species.
