Dr Raphael Labens

Qualifications: MagMedVet MVM PhD CertES(Orth) DiplACVS DiplECVS MRCVS.
Qualified: University of Vienna. Institution/Practice: University of Edinburgh. Career: After working in equine practice in Germany, Raphael completed an equine rotating internship at the University of Liege, a senior clinical scholarship in equine surgery at the University of Glasgow and a residency in equine surgery at North Carolina State University where he also obtained a doctoral degree in comparative biomedical sciences. Raphael held clinical appointments at the University of Glasgow and NC State University and is now a Senior Lecturer in Equine Surgery at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh. He is a member of the American and European College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Interests: Diagnostic imaging; joint disease; surgery.
