Prof Chris Proudman

Qualifications: MA VetMB PhD CertEO FRCVS.
Qualified: Cambridge. Institution/Practice: School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Surrey.
Career: Chris Proudman is the Foundation Head of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey. He has over 20 years experience of veterinary clinical education and equine gastroenterology research at the University of Liverpool. He is a recognised specialist in equine gastroenterology having, until recently, led the university’s equine colic referral service. His current research employs ‘omics technologies to understand the relationship between gut microbiota and intestinal health in the horse. Interests: Equine gastroenterology; veterinary education.
