Dr Jacqui Matthews

Qualifications: BVMS PhD MRCVS
Qualified: University of Glasgow. Institution/Practice: Moredun Research Institute, Edinburgh.
Career: After qualifying, Jacqui undertook a PhD in parasite immunology at Glasgow. Since then, she has developed and led an extensive research programme on ruminant helminth vaccines and equine parasitology. She has held tenured positions at the Glasgow, Liverpool and Edinburgh Veterinary Schools and is currently Principal Veterinary Parasitologist at Moredun Research Institute. Interests: Equine helminthology; ruminant helminthology; vaccines, diagnostics and evidence based control strategies.
