Qualified: Edinburgh. Institution/Practice: Donnington Grove Veterinary Surgery. Career: Bruce worked in mixed practice in Hertfordshire for one year, then for 3 years in equine practice with Endell Veterinary Group in Salisbury, prior to 3 years equine practice with O’Gorman Slater Main (as it was then) in Newbury. In 1995 he undertook a residency in Equine Surgery at Bristol University before returning to O’Gorman Slater Main in 1998, and he is now a director of Donnington Grove Veterinary Group (as it is now). He obtained the (old fashioned) Certificate in Equine Practice in 1992, the Diploma of Equine Soft Tissue Surgery in 1999 and the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2001. He has lectured widely on the subject of equine surgery and diagnostics, including to the South African Equine Veterinary Association, the New Zealand Equine Veterinary Association, and to the Horse Center in Brazil. Interests: Equine Surgery, in particular arthroscopy, fracture repair, and colic surgery. Equine diagnostic imaging, in particular MRI and scintigraphy.
