Dr Filip Vandenberghe

Qualifications: DVM Associate (LA) ECVDI.
Qualified: Ghent University. Institution/Practice: Equine Hospital, Bosdreef, Belgium.
Career: After graduation, Filip worked for 3 years at the Department of Surgery and Anesthesiology of large animals at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University, with a focus on Equine Orthopaedics. He joined the team of Bosdreef Equine Hospital in 2004, where he started working with the newly installed Hallmarq MRI scanner. Besides orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging was an important part of his role and he was appointed in 2011 Associate Large Animal for the European College of Diagnostic Imaging. Co-supervising 4 residents ECVDI with Ghent and Liège University.
Interests: Equine orthopaedics; diagnostic imaging (MRI and gamma-scintigraphy in particular); poor performance in the horse.
