Qualified: Oklahoma State University. Institution/Practice: Fairfield Equine Associates, Connecticut, USA.
Career: Certified by International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) 1992; Certified by International Society for Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) 2008; Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation 2015. Rick has served as an official veterinarian to the United States Equestrian Team at Olympic Games, Pan American Games, World Equestrian Games, FEI World Cups, and innumerable international horse shows since 1992 for the showjumping or dressage disciplines. Accredited FEI Vet Delegate in Show Jumping and Dressage, Past Chairman of the Purchase Exam and Horse Show Committees for American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) as well as co-chairing the Performance Horse Medications Committee. He is a past member of the board of directors for the AAEP, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association and the US Equestrian Federation (USEF). He currently serves as chairman of the Health and Regulatory Committee for the American Horse Council and vice-chair of the Veterinary Committee for USEF.
Interests: Sport horse medicine with an emphasis on lameness and diagnostic imaging.
