Profile of Mr Mark Georgetti
Qualified: Massey University, New Zealand (1996). Institution/ Practice: Three Counties Equine Hospital, Gloucestershire, UK. Career: After qualifying in New Zealand, Mark cut his teeth working with Thoroughbred and Standardbred racehorses in the South Island. He travelled to the UK in 1999 where, following a period of locum work, he settled at the Arundel Veterinary Hospital, West Sussex for 3 years, here meeting his future wife, Fiona. They returned to New Zealand to work at Matamata in TB, stud and racing practice. Mark obtained his membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Medicine in 2004 before returning to the UK to join Three Counties Equine Hospital in 2005. He gained his Certificate in Equine Surgery (Soft Tissue) in 2010.
Interests: His main interests are in lameness, surgery and stud medicine. Mark's non-professional interests include rugby, triathlons, kayaking and occasionally sampling the latest Kiwi Sav Blanc harvest.
