Profile of Dr Alastair Foote
Qualified: Cambridge (2000). Institution/Practice: Partner in charge of Beaufort Cottage Laboratories, Rossdales, Newmarket.
Career: Spent a short period in mixed practice prior to undertaking a pathology-based PhD back at Cambridge, investigating the factors limiting remyelination in a model of chronic demyelination. Following this, he completed a residency in veterinary pathology, training at Cambridge Veterinary School, AHVLA Bury St. Edmunds and the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket. In 2008 he joined Beaufort Cottage Laboratories, Newmarket, as an equine diagnostic pathologist. He obtained his fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2009 and is now Partner in charge of Beaufort Cottage Laboratories at Rossdales.
Interests: All aspects of equine diagnostic pathology, comparative pathology and neuropathology.
