Malcolm Howe

Malcolm Howe is Partner in charge of Cundall's Critical Systems Team, which specialises in the design of data centres and other mission-critical facilities. Malcolm is a mechanical engineer and has a particular interest in the design of energy-efficient cooling solutions for data centre applications. In this context, he has been involved in research into the effectiveness of free cooling strategies and the impact of cooling system failure. Malcolm is an Uptime Institute Professional Services Accredited Tier Designer. Recent project experience has included large air-cooled data centres in Sweden for a prominent Social Network Provider, a large Tier IV facility in Madrid for a major telecommunications company and a number of air-cooled Tier III projects for the developer market. Malcolm also has a wider responsibility within Cundall for developing technical standards for mechanical services.
