Profile of Andreas Olah
Andreas Olah joined IDC’s EMEA Systems and Infrastructure Solutions Group in 2012. As research analyst for the European Enterprise Server Group, he provides market analysis for the EMEA region, focusing on virtualization, x86 servers, and datacenter topics. His research areas include datacenter infrastructure, server architectures, integrated systems, and the competitive landscape in the server market. Andreas also contributes to studies regarding the European desktop virtualization / VDI market and big data analytics.
Based in London, he contributes to IDC’s Quarterly Server Tracker and European Server continuous information services. He also works in close cooperation with the IDC consulting team, helping clients plan their campaigns and position new products for the European market through surveys, workshops, white papers and presentations.
Prior to joining IDC, Andreas worked as a business analyst for Bloomberg and as a freelance research analyst for management consulting projects. He holds an MSc in international management from King’s College London and is a native German and Hungarian speaker with full command of English.
