Profile of Dr Madeleine Campbell

Qualified: The Royal Veterinary College. Institution/Practice: Hobgoblins Equine Reproduction Centre, Duddleswell, East Sussex TN22 3BH and The Royal Veterinary College, Hawkshead Lane, Herts. AL9 7TA, UK. Career: European and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Equine Reproduction, and a Diplomate of the European College of Animal Reproduction. She is also the first ever veterinarian to be awarded a Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship in Biomedical Ethics, and is the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow in Veterinary Ethics at the Royal Veterinary College, and a member of the BVA's Ethics and Welfare Group.

Interests: Madeleine combines clinical referral practice in equine reproduction with research on veterinary ethics. Her current research interests are in the ethics of assisted reproductive techniques in non-human mammals, and the ethics of the use of animals in sport.
