Profile of Dr Gayle Hallowell
Qualified: Cambridge. Institution/Practice: School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus, Sutton Bonington, Leicestershire LE12 5RD, UK. Career: Upon graduation, Gayle undertook a rotating equine internship and the equine medicine and critical care residency at the Royal Veterinary College. She completed a short period undertaking cross-species anaesthesia at the RVC and stayed as a Temporary Lecturer in Equine Internal Medicine at the RVC at the end of her residency. She then completed a PhD in equine cardiology studying aortic valve prolapsed at the University of Nottingham where she was also a Special Lecturer in Large Animal Internal Medicine and Critical Care. She is currently Sub-dean for CE and Associate Professor in Large Animal Internal Medicine and Critical Care and is a Diplomate of the American Colleges of both Veterinary Internal Medicine and Emergency and Critical Care -Large animal. She is Associate Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging
