Profile of Raju Chellam
Raju Chellam Heads Big Data & Cloud Practice – as well as Healthcare &
Government segments – for Dell’s South Asia region (includes Asean, Indo-
China & South Asian countries except India). He has been in the IT industry for
33 years and helped set up Asia’s first BDIC (Big Data Innovation Center) at
the Dell Solution Center in Singapore in late 2012.
He is an Executive Member of the Singapore National Cloud Advisory Council &
Honorary Chair of the Singapore Cloud Outage Response Group, both hosted
under the Gov of Singapore. He’s also on the Big Data Task Force set up by the MDEC, Gov of
Malaysia. He is the Immediate Past President of the BCG (Business Continuity Group) at the
SCS (Singapore Computer Society) & Hon Secretary of the Cloud & Big Data Chapter at the
SiTF (Singapore IT Federation).
Raju is often invited to keynote on next-gen technologies & data/healthcare analytics by
industry associations, government organizations and CIO panel discussions across the South-
East Asia region. He has also been invited to give guest lectures by the Chicago-Booth
Graduate School of Business (Singapore Campus), the Nanyang Technological University, the
Singapore Management University & IIM Calcutta, among others.
Prior to joining Dell in 2011, he was Managing Director of TechTrenders Asia, a boutique
management advisory firm that helped companies navigate new technologies in virtualization,
DC optimization and migrating legacy apps to a cloud computing platform. He has previously
worked in Hewlett-Packard (Director of Influencer Relations), AMI Partners Inc (Vice
President of APJ) and as IT Editor of The Business Times, Singapore, for a decade.
