Profile of Brendon Howe
Brendon Howe is senior vice president of the Emerging Products Group at NetApp, responsible for launching new products and growing new businesses based on key emerging technologies. He’s been at NetApp for 8 years and was previously the Vice President of Product & Solutions Marketing, Vice President of the VMware Integration & Solutions organization, Vice President & General Manager of the NAS & Object Storage Business Unit, head of the Microsoft products group, and Vice President and General manager of the V-Series business unit. He drove 2 acquisitions (Bycast & Engenio) and has served as executive sponsor for several of NetApp's major accounts.
Brendon has extensive experience in executive leadership within the networking, storage, and virtualization technology segments. Before NetApp, he was vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Acopia Networks, a leading network-based file virtualization provider. Before joining Acopia, Brendon served in executive management positions at several start-up companies, including Trebia Networks, Inc., an early pioneer of storage network processors used for FC and iSCSI SAN connectivity; Navipath; and Indus River Networks. Brendon was also marketing director for 3Com's Network Switching Systems division and held a variety of product management roles at Analog Devices Inc.
Brendon holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Boston University and an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business. He serves on the Advisory Boards of Boston University’s School of Engineering and Chapman University’s Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics and is an active competitor in masters swimming.
