Gary Walker

Gary Walker has worked and managed IT business in Australia and New Zealand for 30+ years, and in the last 14 years he has designed and built 11 Data Centers; nine builds were retrofitted into existing Telco and commercial buildings and the two most recent were green fields builds. Gary challenged the orthodox design, the risk adverse design engineers and the suppliers to produce a quantum step change in Data Center design using, deconstructing supply systems and Vdc & Vac Converged Power Systems. His recent Data Center has proven the modular, deconstructed design delivers a large cost benefit and a Data Center with “No single points of failure”. He is recognised across Europe and Australasia as a subject matter expert and key note speaker for Data Center Design and Innovation. Gary has a reputation for designing and building future proof Data Centers which address current performance issues and provide flexibility in the building and supply systems to support future trends. He provides the Thought leadership, bringing together peers and suppliers who add value to the design. In early 2015 Gary moved from the Telco / Colo company to join Eltek, working across the Asia Pacific region.
