Mark from Deloitte Hong Kong Consulting offices in Pacific Place, and City Plaza has initialized the APAC Data Center Advi-sory practice, with emphasis on the North Asia and Great China markets while developing extensive communication and delivery lines via a complete APAC team across region as part of a global team service offering of Deloitte. Including New York, Chicago, London, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

Over the last 18 Months he has performed analysis in Data Cen-ter client acquisition, Total Cost of Ownership analysis (TCO), Cloud security, and control environment reviews for on Premise and cloud based environments. He has also reviewed application development in open source platforms and data center optimiza-tion and performance including latency and cloud application ser-vices such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) etc.

One area of particular interest is Sustainability, and environmental factors in Data Center selections regarding the required annual Environmental Sustainability and Governance (ESG) reporting. He has visited data centers in almost every country in the 22 countries in Asia Pacific region and has current first-hand knowledge of operational and process issues.

His technical focus combined with his deep industry knowledge of FSI clients and capital markets, including IFRS, and tax issues, enable his dynamic ad-hoc and Q&A speaking style while mes-saging remains consistent.
