Chang Tsann

Chang Tsann is a member of the Steering Committee for The Green Grid Singapore which has launched its self-interest group for the Singapore members in June 2014. He is also a vice-chair for the Liaison Workgroup for The Green Grid China Committee since 2013. Chang Tsann has been an active member of The Green Grid since 2009 supporting and driving initiatives on the PUE metrics – measurement and reporting of Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) in the data centre, as well as the Data Center Maturity Model (DCMM) as a holistic approach to understand the best practices and to provide a baseline measurement of the energy efficiency and sustainability of data centres. He is also presently looking into the feasibility of implementing the free cooling map tool of data centres in China. Outside The Green Grid, Chang Tsann is the Practice Director at Dell Corporation in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, leading the Data Centre Infrastructure Consulting Services since 2009. His key role at Dell is to develop, enable and grow the data centre capabilities and solutions for its customers in the region. The key service offerings include Data Centre Planning and Management, Facilities Optimisation and Design and Build Implementation. Prior to Dell, Chang Tsann has more than 15 years of core skills and competency over Data Center Operations, Strategic Planning, Backup and Recovery Services, and Engineering and Technology Development at Intel Corporation.
