Esin Gürbüz

I am a PhD candidate at Université Grenoble Alpes since october 2023 under the supervision of Sylvain Venayre and Fuat Dündar.
My research focuses on the networks of aid that developed across the Ottoman Balkans, involving missionaries, commissions, and local actors. It explores the intersections between faith-based philanthropy, diplomacy, and the emergence of modern humanitarianism.
