Profile of Alex Witt
Doctoral student in History at the University of Bristol. I specialise in humanitarianism and crisis response with a particular interest in politically instigated famine and political violence in communist and former communist states.
My project is an assessment of the British response and reaction to the Holodomor of 1932-33. I am particularly focusing on the circulation of knowledge regarding the famino-genocide in public (press) and state spheres (Foreign Office, Cabinet, Treasury and Houses of Parliament).
