Profile of Noam Bizan
Noam Bizan is a History PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, expected graduation in summer 2027. She specializes in the Soviet Union during 'late socialism,' with particular interest in dissidents and Cold War human rights, transnationalism, international cooperation, and diplomacy. She is also interested in the Cold War in the Middle East and present-day Cold War dynamics and Russian geopolitics. Her dissertation explores the transnational activist movement for free Jewish emigration from the Soviet Union in the post-Stalin period. She has a Master's degree in International Relations from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor's degree in History and Russian from Brown University.
