Filip Novosel

Born in Zagreb, Croatia, I graduated history and Croatian culture at the Centre for Croatian Studies University of Zagreb in 2010. In the academic year 2011/2012 I received the MA degree in Central European history at Central European University in Budapest, and in 2019 defended my PhD thesis in Early Modern History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences University of Zagreb. Currently, I work as a research associate at the Croatian Institute of History in Zagreb. The field of my interest is early modern social, urban and military history of the Mediterranean, primarily the Venetian Adriatic space. So far, my work has resulted with publication of monographs, editorial books, articles, participation in conferences and public lectures in Croatia and abroad.
