Profile of Ninna Mörner
Ninna Mörner is in charge of the scholarly multidisciplinary and quarterly journal Baltic Worlds, that publishes articles in social sciences and humanities as well as environmental studies. All content relates to the Baltic Sea Region and Central and Eastern Europe, including the post-Soviet countries and Balkan. Baltic Worlds is listed in Scopus etc., see www.balticworlds.com where it is to be found OA. (Baltic Worlds is also distributed in print to readers in 60 countries).
In order to present multi- and interdisciplinary ongoing research to a wider audience Baltic Worlds also publishes other formats than peer-reviewed articles, such as essays and interviews. The journal has a characteristic design and is illustrated. See www.balticworlds.com
Ninna Mörner is also Editor of the CBEES State of the Region Report, a series of annual reports from CBEES (Centre for Baltic and East European Studies), reporting and reflecting on the social and political developments in the Baltic Sea Region and Central and Eastern Europe, including the post-Soviet countries and Balkan, each year from a new and topical perspective (this year's topic concerns the consequences of the war and the different reactions). Over 40 researchers report from the countries in the region. The overall purpose with this initiative is to offer a publication that will be of great interest to fellow researchers, policy makers, stakeholders, and the general public. Ninna Mörner has an expertise in journalism and East European Studies. She follows closely the development in the region, also when it comes to the changing academic landscape and threats to the freedom of expression. Her work is conducted in collaboration with the researchers at CBEES and the editorial boards linked to the publications, and also with the wider network in the region that the publications are covering.
