Profile of Olena Tiaglova
Olena Tiaglova is completing her PhD dissertation at the Friedrich-Schiller University Jena, entitled “Narrating Environment: Russian Dystopia in the Twenty-First Century.” Her research focuses on twenty-first-century Russian literature, with particular interests in econarratology, environmental humanities, and dystopia.
Her recent article, “Cultural Perception of Environmental Problems in Russian Dystopia” (2025), appears in the edited volume Non-Western Approaches in Environmental Humanities. In addition to her academic work, Olena Tiaglova serves as the social media manager for EASLCE (European Association for the Study of Literature, Culture and Environment).
