Profile of Roger Markwick
Dr Roger Markwick is Honorary Professor of Modern European History, The University of Newcastle, Australia.
Among other publications, he is the author of Rewriting History in Soviet Russia: The Politics of Revisionist Historiography 1956-74 (Palgrave Macmillan 2001), which won The Alexander Nove Prize in Russian, Soviet and Post-Soviet Studies in 2001.
He has been commissioned by Verso Books to edit an anthology currently titled 'Soviet and Post-Soviet Socialist Dissidence.'
He is also editing a Russian-language biography of Left Oppositionist Christian Rakovsky (1873-1941).
