Profile of Alina Parker
Alina Parker is a lecturer teaching in the Russian, Eurasian, and Polish Studies Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a PhD in Communication from UMass (2022). Her interdisciplinary dissertation discusses politics of history in Russia after the Crimean annexation. Her research interests include postsocialist Eastern Europe, political contention, far-right politics, and public memory. She has taught at Smith College, the University of Tampa, and the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow, Russia. She is originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine.
