Daiva Price

Dr.Daiva (Citvarienė) Price lives in Kaunas and Cambridge. She is an art curator, researcher, and cultural producer. She is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Vytautas Magnus University, with an interest in memory and museum studies, audience development, accessibility and curatorship.
Since 2014, Dr. Price had been one of the members of the creative team preparing the Kaunas European Capital of Culture 2022 bid and since 2017 she had been working for the Kaunas 2022 team. She was the curator of the Audience Development Programme for Cultural Operators 2017 - 2019.
In 2017-2022, she curated one of the largest Kaunas 2022 programmes "Memory Office", which aimed to break down the city's stereotypes, stimulate a conscious interest in the city's complex history, and awaken the city's multiethnic memory. Dr Price was also a co-editor and author of The "Jews of Kaunas" (2021, published by Kaunas 2022).
In 2019, she initiated and curated the CityTelling festival in Kaunas. She was also the curator of one of the largest Kaunas 2022 events "Litvak Culture Forum", which took place in Kaunas on 29-30 September. In addition, Dr Price has been working on community arts projects for a number of years.
Dr. Price is also the creator of such memory projects as the collective memory project "Sites of Memory" (www.atmintiesvietos.lt), the audio guide to historical Kaunas "Spirit Guide to the Old Kaunas" and many others.
