Profile of Marjan Petreski
Dr. Marjan Petreski (1982) is a Professor of Economics at the School of Business Economics and Management of the University American College Skopje. He is co-founder of Finance Think – Economic Research & Policy Institute, Skopje, a prominent and influential economic think tank. He holds a PhD from Staffordshire University, UK. His research lately focuses on issues related to development issues, labor markets, and evaluation of the effects of economic policies, with a strong focus on transition economies. He published widely in international peer-reviewed journals (37 articles in journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports and 42 in Scopus), authored five international books and 14 chapters in international books. For his research, he has been awarded with several international awards. Marjan served Career Integration Fellow of CERGE-EI in Prague (2012-2015), while currently serves PEP Research Fellow. Extensively engaged as external collaborator with the World Bank, International Labor Organization, UNCTAD, UN Women, UNDP, UNICEF, Regional Cooperation Council, DG Near and others.
