Noah Birksted-Breen

Noah Birksted-Breen is an academic researcher who has worked at the University of Oxford and Leeds and is currently working at Queen Mary University of London. His research has centred on contemporary forms of non-conformist writing in Russia (Routledge, 2020), Ukraine (Bloomsbury, 2020), and Belarusian theatre-in-exile (2022). He is a scholar-practitioner, founding Sputnik Theatre Company, an independent British ensemble that translates and produces contemporary Russian-language plays for UK-based audiences with performances at Soho Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, and on BBC Radio 3’s Drama of the Week.
