Profile of Dr Martin Nielsen
Martin Nielsen graduated with his DVM from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001. He then spent three years in equine practice, before he pursued a PhD in equine parasitology at University of Copenhagen. Upon graduating with his PhD in 2007, he maintained a faculty position at University of Copenhagen until 2011, where he took a faculty position at the Gluck Equine Research Center at University of Kentucky, USA. Here, he is focusing his research on equine parasite control, methods for diagnosis and surveillance, and anthelmintic resistance.
