Roland Clark specialises in the history of East-Central Europe, and of interwar Romania in particular. He has studied at the University of Sydney (Australia) and the University of Pittsburgh (USA), and has taught at Eastern Connecticut State University (USA) and the University of Liverpool (UK). He is a Past President of the Society for Romanian Studies, and his research interests include fascism, social movements, violence, gender, theology, and lived religion.
