Profile of Maryna Kapas-Romaniuk
I am a visiting researcher at the University of York, working on the project “Multilingualism in the situation of conflict” supported by the British Academy.
My recent research focus is investigating language processing in Ukrainian-Russian bilinguals, in particular, whether lexical diversity and fluency in speech production of Ukrainians has shifted since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
I am also a Co-I on ESRC grant, “Negotiating multilingual identities in situations of conflict”.
