Lily Tarba

Lily Tarba is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto. Her dissertation focuses on literary representations of shame and honour in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Russian, Georgian, and North Caucasian poetry and prose. She primarily examines literature written during the time of the Russian conquest of the Caucasus, with a particular focus on the Northwest Caucasus.
