Profile of Saffy Mirghani

Saffy attained her Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Philosophy at the American University of Paris in 2017. That same year, she joined SSEES where she was awarded a Master’s degree in Russian and East European Literature and Culture in 2018. In 2020, Saffy embarked upon her doctoral research at SSEES, supervised by Dr Sarah Young and Dr Xine Yao. Her doctoral research is funded by the Windsor Fellowship. She is currently a third-year doctoral candidate in Russian Studies. She is researching Fyodor Dostoevsky's influence on twentieth-century, African-American literature.
