Profile of Alex Krouglov
Dr. Alex Krouglov earned his PhD in Sociolinguistics from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. Presently, he holds a professorship at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London (UCL), where his research focuses on the intricacies of language policy and planning. His academic pursuits extend to Translation and Interpreting, as well as exploring various facets of Higher Education. Prior to his tenure at UCL, Dr. Krouglov contributed significantly to London Metropolitan University as an Associate Dean and educator in Simultaneous Interpreting. His rich experience also encompasses a notable 9-year tenure overseeing diplomatic training at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London, further enriching his diverse professional portfolio.
