Profile of Sofiia Azovtseva
Graduated from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukrainian language and literature, Ukrainian language as a foreign language.
In 2018, defended PhD thesis “Stories from Gospels in Baroque Homiletic Discourse (Kyrylo Stavrovets’kyi-Tranquilion and Antonij Radyvylovs’kyj)” at the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. These studies at different times were reflected in publications in several international scientific journals.
During 2009-2016 received different scholarships to travel abroad, particularly in Poland: Lexicographic training (organized by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies “Artes Liberales”, University of Warsaw), Polish-Ukrainian Translatorium (University of Wroclaw), an internship for teachers of Polish language (Center of the Development of Polish Education Abroad “ORPEG”, Warsaw), Summer School (Warsaw University).
Altogether, has almost seventeen years of teaching experience. Have worked as a lecturer in Ukrainian, Russian and Polish languages as foreign languages at prestigious Ukrainian and international universities.
Currently, her research addresses the challenges of linguistic interference faced by foreign students who speak various Slavic languages, such as Russian and Polish, in educational environments and neurodiversity in language classes.
