Open Access (OA) is now a key pillar in academic publishing, with researchers needing to navigate a shifting landscape where the pace of change varies between countries and regions.
What is Open Access, how is OA funding allocated, and how can researchers make use of Read & Publish (R&P) agreements to publish OA? Publishers from Routledge, Taylor & Francis and Central European University Press will share guidance to break down what OA means for you and your research.
This roundtable will provide the facts about different OA routes, and help you to understand what Article Publishing Charges (APCs) are and what you need to do to publish OA if your institution has Read & Publish (R&P) agreements in place with publishers. We will also reflect on questions and resources to help authors establish whether a publishing venue is predatory, vanity publishing, or legitimate.
