The large-scale migration of Belarusians since 2020 estimated between 300.000 et 500.000 people pushed on the road of exile a lot of families with children. One of the important challenges they faced in their new home countries was the necessity to find the best way for pursuing the education of their children in the new (et often rather different) educational systems. This paper explores the educational strategies of Belarusian parents in exile in Lithuania and Poland. Based on data from in-depth interviews conducted in 2024-2025, it analysis the choices made by parents in regard to their economic, social and cultural background in a particular landscape of Lithuanian and Polish educational systems. Another important research question addressed in this paper explore the way in which the issue of their children’s education affects migration (and integration) strategies of the parents.
