This paper examines the processes of rethinking the nature of literature in the catastrophic circumstances of Russia's war against Ukraine, from the loss of the very ability of speaking and the expediency of using poetic techniques to the revision of conventional ideas about authorship, the creative act, and the literary work itself. From the perspective of literary anthropology (W. Iser, C. Girtz, Rudolf Behrens and Ronald Galle, D. Sumara, N. Rapport, M. AL-Gharib, E. Wiles etc.), here is considered the crisis of metaphor as a key element of poetry, the actualization of the poetics of voice and the poetics of the body, stummering as a reaction to trauma, the literalness of expression as a search for new signifiers, as well as the reconfiguration of the genre system.

This paper is focused both on the direct statements of writers and on their works, which problematize the relationship between the creator and the recipient, between the individual and the collective, between reflection and transformation. The central issue of this paper is the question of the creative community, within which it is necessary to reinvent not only literature as an individual expression, but also language as a shared cultural experience of interaction with destroyed reality. The modern vision of literature is being revised under these conditions: the creative effort is transferred to the level of language, and the author's imagination is replaced by attention that implies recognition, trust, and solidarity. By performing the basic act of writing, the writer forms a common cultural space and (literally) heals a cultural community through shared expression.
