Discussion
In the proposed work, the concept of national identity of the Ukrainian nation is rethought as a “disruption” (=destruction) of the stereotype of the “Soviet person” at the stage of “disruption” (=disintegration) of the Soviet Union. The author outlines the peculiarities of the search (formation) of the national self on the basis of the historical spirit and cultural heritage in the post-Soviet space. On the basis of the work “Fieldwork in Ukrainian Sex” the author analyzes the issue of decolonization of Ukrainian heritage in the context of the challenges of Soviet homogenization of society. Based on the work “Sister, Sister,” the concept of “tribal alienation” is rethought as a consequence of Soviet policies that encouraged espionage and denunciation in society, and thus influenced the deformation of the national consciousness of the Ukrainian people.
